Effortless stretching

This harpoon can be stretched effortlessly, thanks to a xiros® plastic ball bearing, which reduces the effort required by the user to stretch the elastic cord. Using the same length of elastic band, speed can be increased by about 25 percent compared to conventional devices. The corrosion resistance in constant contact with salt water tipped the balance in favour of xiros® plastic ball bearings. Steel ball bearings had severe problems in endurance tests.
