By using corrosion-free iglidur plain bearings, the corrosion problem was solved. Due to their low wear values, the plastic guide rings also impressed during tests in Otto Bock's in-house laboratory. Further advantages are: dirt and dust deposits do not affect the guide rings and therefore do not impair the function of the prosthetic knee joints. Additionally, they are silent when in operation.

A guide ring made of iglidur J is used to mount the valve head when emptying bottles. This is resistant to chemicals and offers low moisture absorption.
